Co-curator Tarin Mohajeri was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in West Palm Beach. She has always had a love for art, especially photography. She studied Humanities and Photography at Florida State University and ultimately received a master’s in arts administration. Tarin worked for FSU Museum of Fine Arts, Florida Gulf Coast Art Center, the Florida Orchestra, Central Park Performing Arts Center, City of Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency, and most recently has been working as a freelance curator and artist representative. In 2019, Tarin worked on a partnership between the Dali Museum and the City of Clearwater CRA. The project was an 8-month pop-up virtual reality experience of “Dreams of Dalí” in Clearwater. As coordinator, Tarin hosted art workshops, special events, and educational programs for people of all ages and abilities. In all, over 8,000 community members participated. Dreams of Dalí in Clearwater won 2019 Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay for Gallery (Non-Museum) Show.
Tarin was instrumental in bringing the Clyde Butcher Gallery to Clearwater. In 2023, she curated the exhibit “El Arte: Echoes of Cuba,” bringing together nineteen local artists, many which were Cuban-American, to show with Clyde Butcher’s Exhibit “Cuba: The Natural Beauty.” It was during this show Tarin began working with artists A Galban and Jorge Dans.
Tarin collaborated with A Galban and Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation to receive the Beyond Placemaking Grant by Creative Pinellas and the National Endowment for the Arts for the “Flora & Fauna” art exhibition and education program.
