Jean-René Rinvil is a Haitian multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, educator, and cultural advocate whose vibrant works explore themes of identity, memory, and diaspora. Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Haiti, Rinvil’s creative practice draws deeply from childhood memories and is characterized by the use of bright, expressive color palettes that reflect the vitality and resilience of his Caribbean roots.
Rinvil earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and later pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), one of the most prestigious art institutions in the world. His academic training combined with his lived experiences has shaped his bold, emotionally resonant aesthetic.
