Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Francesca grew up in a home of taekwondo entrepreneurs. The family migrated to the US about 37 years ago, and although this has been home since then, it is thru her art that she has found “home” again. Her work centers in integrating the multicultural aspect of being Afro-Caribbean, reclaiming parts of the story that are often left out and even worse, erased. Francesca lives in Tampa Bay with her husband, three daughters, her mom, four cats and a dog.
