Matthew Boyle

Bachelors of Design in Architecture, University of Florida NYC/Florida-based painter and illustrator Matthew Boyle calls upon his background in architecture and computer science to create emotional geometric dreamscapes. Working primarily in oil, Matthew’s painting draws a window into sublime landscapes of the mind, often illustrating parables of a post-apocalyptic world rising from the ashes of humankind’s greed and blind ambition.
Graduating from St. Pete High with a focus on visual arts, he studied architecture at UF where he became fascinated by the situationists, abstract concepts in art and architecture, and the urban landscape.
In 2001 he hopped a freight train to New York City and began a lifelong fascination with counter culture and city life. He taught music, art, and computer science in East Harlem for 12 years, all the while painting and drawing. He now splits his time painting and exhibiting in Brooklyn NY and St. Pete FL.
