I have been a tenured full Professor of Visual Arts at Eckerd College for 32 years. I am also serving on the Board of Ringling Museum of Art and on the Collection Committee of James Museum of Art. I am a painter, sculptor, photographer, and mixed media artist.
I earn two MFA degrees from Nanjing Normal University and University of South Florida. In early 1990s, I was appointed as the art director of a design firm and designed many projects for the entertainment industry, such as Disney World, MGM Studio, Sea World, and Bush Gardens, etc. At the same time, I was an adjunct professor at the Ringling College of Art and Design, before joining Eckerd College in 1993.
I have exhibited my art in galleries, none for profit institutions, and museums locally, nationally, and internationally, such as the Museum of Modern Art, PS1 in NYC. My works have been collected by museums, galleries and private collectors in the US and Asia. I am the recipient of numerous grants and awards from many distinguished institutions, such as, the National Endowments for the Arts, the Freeman Foundation, Ford Foundation, National AsianNetwork, Florida Arts Council, etc.
