Stone is inherently a beautiful medium. My intention and focus as a sculptor is to listen to the stone and to coax it into a moving expression of sensual form. In this timeless medium I find inspiration in everything from the classical figures of Ancient Greece to the abstract expressionists of modern times, as well as in exploring the symbolic role that form plays in both the mystical and natural world. For me, sculpture is a sacred dance – a union between the divine nature of earth and the creative spirit. I learn through every stone I carve and together we find our unique message, for like everything beautiful in this world, there are no two stones alike.
