The Safety Harbor Art & Music Center (SHAMc) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts and culture organization serving Pinellas County and the greater Tampa Bay region. For nine years, SHAMc has operated as a multidisciplinary creative hub dedicated to accessible, community-driven arts experiences that connect people of all ages through music, visual art, and performance.
With a strong foundation in live program production, SHAMc presents more than 45 nationally touring and regional music acts annually, demonstrating capacity in artist contracting, technical production, and audience engagement. Beyond performance, SHAMc provides over 150 arts education and free community programs each year for Pre‑K children, youth, teens, adults, and seniors. These offerings include classes, workshops, summer camps, and free recurring programs such as open mics, storytelling, and community drum circles, ensuring consistent, low-barrier access to the arts.
Rooted in Pinellas County, SHAMc plays a vital role in fostering creative expression, supporting working artists, and cultivating a sense of place through participatory arts experiences. Operations are led by experienced staff and an engaged board with expertise in education, nonprofit management, and finance, ensuring thoughtful leadership and sustainable, high-quality programming.
