The Suncoast Jazz Festival, a nonprofit organization, has operated for 37 years in Sand Key near Clearwater Beach, Florida. The festival is an annual three-day music event held in Sand Key near Clearwater Beach, Florida. It features over 70 national and international musicians performing in multiple styles, including traditional, swing, big band, New Orleans styles, and zydeco.
The festival is well-known for its relaxed, community-focused vibe. Music rotates continuously across three indoor stages from 10:00 am to midnight. Each venue offers a different jazz genre. Headliners and other musicians often combine talents and conduct jam sessions that showcase the best of each performer’s talent and skills. High school bands perform and display the multiple talents of aspiring jazz musicians on the first day of the Festival. The first night of the festival includes swing dance instruction, dances, and a four-hour swing dance party.
