Ever find yourself watching a movie and realizing that you’re a chronic multi-tasker? You can’t put the phone down, or you’re keeping busy with something creative. You aren’t alone, and you no longer have to be!
Creative Pinellas is partnering with The Common Thread Yarn Shop & Café and Green Light Cinema to bring you Craft Club Cinema, a monthly film series for the creative, restless, and curious. Inspired by the growing global movement of “ADHD Cinema,” we’re throwing out the rules of the traditional theater experience and releasing the pressure to sit still, stare ahead and stay quiet.
We’ll provide lap desks and tasks lights, and you can bring your knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, sketch pad, adult coloring book, etc. Enjoy your favorite classic films in an environment built just for you — lower volumes, brighter lights, and the freedom to multitask with crafts.
Craft Club Cinema is part of Creative Pinellas’ new Creative Wellbeing initiative designed to harness the power of our local cultural community to boost mental wellness, comfort, and joy. Whether you are neurodivergent, a chronic multitasker, or just someone who thrives with a project in hand, these screenings will be your safe space to create.
