We have reached the end of the Arts Summer Camp grant funding opportunity.
There is a waiting list in case an opening becomes available. Submit your request to get added to the waiting list by emailing summercamp@creativepinellas.org. Include the camp provider’s name and how many children you would like to add to the waiting list.
The Creative Pinellas Arts Summer Camp Grant was created to make it possible for young people (ages 5 – 18) in Pinellas County to have great arts and cultural experiences by attending a session of an arts summer camp at a camp provider in Pinellas County. Creative Pinellas fund eligible nonprofit arts organizations, eligible nonprofit community organizations, and City and County programs open to the public and offer summer camp arts programming.
Simple Steps to Getting a Grant
1 – Be Eligible
Read the eligibility requirements below and discover if you or your child is eligible.
2 – Pick a Qualified Arts Summer Camp Session
Check out a list of participating camp providers below and be sure to pick a session that is art-focused.
3 – Apply Online
Click the “Apply Now” button on this page to fill out an application.
4 – Receive an Email
If approved, we will send you an email to let you know that a grant is available for you.
5 – Register at the Sumer Camp
Complete the registration for the arts summer camp session with the camp provider as soon as possible after you have been approved for a grant.
6 – Have a Great Time!

Are You a Summer Camp Grant Provider? Click HereWhat You Need to Know About Eligibility For The Summer Camp Grant Eligibility
Pinellas County residents between the ages of 5 – 18 are eligible for an Arts Summer Camp Grant if the answer is “Yes” to at least one of the items on this list.
- I receive a free or reduced-cost school lunch.
- I am in a “transitional” housing situation.
- I go to a Title 1 school (check here: https://www.pcsb.org/Page/10735).
- I live in a foster or group home.
- I am in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. I receive a financial hardship tuition or scholarship.
- I live in in East Tarpon Springs, North Greenwood, Highpoint, Lealman Corridor, or South St. Petersburg.
Other Things to Know
- If your application is approved for this program you will be eligible to get a grant to attend one arts-oriented summer camp session at a qualified Pinellas county organization or program – as long as funds are available.
- This grant includes going to camp at arts centers, community centers, city programs and more. (Qualified organizations in Pinellas County include non- profit arts organizations and community organizations, and city or county program open to the public who offer arts programming.)
- Even if you receive a grant, that does not mean the camp has space available. You still need to register and be accepted at the camp you want to attend.
- A session is a single program where the same campers attend without new campers joining during that period of time. Typically, a session is one week, with some exceptions (especially for theater camps.) Sessions are not the entire summer. Sessions are not overnight.
