Broadway Bound: Backstage with Blanche!

Broadway Bound was a MASSIVE success.

Now that we finished our final show on Sunday (back-to-back performances, I might add), I’ve had time to relax and reflect on this amazing show and this wonderful cast. I want to also congratulate my friend and fearless leader, Drew Eberhard, for his fantastic support. He wears many hats as an Actor, Director and Choreographer; I’m so indebted to him and would not have been able to do this without him. You can also catch him as Luke/Ares in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical this coming October, presented by Stageworks Theatre, Tampa! Gotta promote my local actors!

Furthermore, Vivid Theatre Productions is his business and his baby and he continually promotes local talent throughout the Bay area! It’s businesses and initiatives like his that make Pinellas County the “arts coast” that it is today. His collaboration with the Tampa Bay JCC’s JSTAGE Series has been widely effective and successful in shining a light on Jewish playwrights and stories. Broadway Bound was the finale on the lives of the Morton and Jerome families. It’s bittersweet, but enjoyable nonetheless.

In commemoration of the show and the fun experience, I compiled a few “backstage” clips of my process before our first show on Thursday, September 15th at 7pm! The transformation of Courtney into the very wealthy, very glamorous Blanche Morton was a welcomed glow-up! (P.S. I was OBSESSED with that faux mink coat and hat!!!) So much fun! Enjoy!
