When I am getting out of my car, I see my mother, brother, and partner walking towards me. We walk up to the gallery and I can see that there is already a huge crowd outside and inside the building! We stop outside for a moment as Jon Ditty prepares for his performance, but then slowly make our way into the gallery. I run straight over to the area I know my Artworks were being displayed, and am overwhelmed with joy! Months and months of hard work was finally on display for everyone to see. I feel excited and overjoyed that the moment has finally come!
The Other Artists
I take a moment first to go explore the rest of the Artists’ work. Everyone was finally experiencing the same moments of relief – to finally see their works in the Gallery. Although I believe everyone did an incredible job, their were a few Artists and Works that stood out as some of my favorites.
Margherita Tibaldo and her 18 paintings blew me away, with a personal favorite being the painting of her face-timing with her family. Rachel Ratcliff had a painting of a wave that was so detailed and realistic, at first glance I believed it was a photograph. And then The Room of Iridescence by Alex Kaufman was an incredible experience of reflections and refractions!
The Night Continues…
The night was filled with laughter, stories, introductions, and conversations. I am so grateful for everyone who came out to show support!
