Dunedin Public Theater (DPT) is a nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Dunedin and the Tampa Bay region through high-quality, accessible performing arts experiences. Founded to address the community’s desire for a permanent home for the performing arts, DPT presents theater, music, film, comedy, educational programming, and multidisciplinary arts events that bring people together through shared cultural experiences.
Since its founding in 2023, DPT has successfully produced more than 20 ticketed events, many of which have sold out, while building strong partnerships with local artists, venues, businesses, and community organizations. The organization has completed a business plan and feasibility study showing that a theater in Dunedin is viable and sustainable, given its unique position in the Tampa Bay area.
DPT is currently prepping for a capital campaign to establish a permanent performing arts venue in Dunedin. DPT aims to create a vibrant cultural hub where creativity, connection, and a diverse range of performing arts experiences inspire and engage residents and visitors, strengthening community life and cultural tourism throughout Pinellas County and beyond.
