Creative Pinellas and the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg are pleased to announce the artists selected for the Interactive Public Art call to artists. Interactive Public Art Awarded Artist: Stephen Oliver
In partnership with the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg, Creative Pinellas is offering up to $5,000 in funding to an artist or artist-team to create a public art project or community engagement opportunity that addresses the issues of mental health and wellbeing, from their unique point of view.
Projects should invite people to engage with, help create, or transform the work itself (e.g., Candy Chang’s ‘Before I Die…’ mural project) and be easily accessible to a diverse public audience.
This project will be shared across Pinellas County communities with people of varying races, backgrounds, and economic situations and should be widely accessible in its final form. In addition, the final project needs to include the “You Good?” symbol, phone number and website. (Find out more about You Good? here)
The artist or artist-team chosen for this project will submit their final project plan to Creative Pinellas by February 16, 2021. The project will launch to the community in April of 2021 and needs to be designed to travel to multiple locations over a period of at least 3 months. Artists will need to make arrangements with those locations.
Recipients have been selected for this grant. Congratulations!
