If you’ve been following my blogs, you’ll know that I have been putting together a repertoire dedicated to Ukraine titled, STANDING. I had the opportunity to work with the Sarasota Contemporary Dance’s (SCD) summer intensive students to set a work-in-progress and also receive audience feedback. Below is the performance and an interesting discussion about the work afterward. Since this process, I have been selected by SCD to expand on the work and set it on their professional dancers for their October production. I will be reworking this iteration as well as the solo work of STANDING seen in my previous blog to create a final work on the SCD company. I hope you enjoy!
