Brandie Dziegiel is a visual artist and printmaker. Prior to receiving her BA in Art Education from the University of Maine in 2016, she was on active duty in the military. She is a 2018 Creative Pinellas “Emerging Artist” grantee and 2020 Gasparilla Art Festival “Emerging Artist”.
She’s had work exhibited in a variety of juried group exhibitions and her relief prints have been featured in several publications. She approaches printmaking as a medium that has the potential to be used as a powerful mnemonic device that raises awareness for our threatened natural heritage.
Her work functions as a form of social commentary, rooted in environmentalism. Each print is a personal narrative filled with mythic elements and earthly creatures, greatly inspired by memory and the fleeting, albeit, enduring natural world.
