Creative Clay‘s member artists showcase work inspired by a wide range of performing arts at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater in downtown St. Pete, when the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts hosts their Inaugural Community Art Exhibit.
. . .
Creative Clay’s mission is to help people with disabilities achieve full and inclusive lives by providing expressive, educational and vocational experiences in the arts. “This will be the first exhibit at the Mahaffey Gallery since our Artlink exhibit in 2013,” says Creative Clay CEO Kim Dohrman, “so we are very excited to be partnering with them again!” The exhibit will be up throughout the summer.
“Sydney Lindell, Education and Outreach Coordinator from Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, and Amy Miller, President of Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts met with our Director of Exhibitions, Jody Bikoff and me to discuss what kind of exhibit we might do. The natural fit was to have the theme be the performing arts.”

“On June 1, Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts hosted the Creative Clay member artists for a private opening reception with a wonderful spread of refreshments.”

On June 16 from 5:30-7:30 pm the Mahaffey hosts a public reception with a live acoustic set by Nate Najar and Daniela Soledad, a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. Artwork is available for sale.
