What Is Art? by Nick Davis
According to www.dictionary.com art is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
From the beginning of time, art has been used to express someones ideas, thoughts, and way of life. In early times people found ways to create art through patterns, implement messages through hieroglyphics, songs and even dances. Although people have different perspectives of art, the root is always creativity and imagination. The need for expression through art is a necessity in growth in the ability to explore different emotions, colors, and perspectives needed to view the world. Art shouldn’t be identified just as paintings and sculptures but the way you walk, talk and even think is a way of art. Writers, musicians, dancers and more all fall into the category of an artist due to the courage to take the leap of expression. As someone who uses technology to create and express, the perspectives and ideas of art are endless.
