Stars and Stripes Over The Years

Stars and Stripes Over The Years

It’s the forth and time to unfurl the flag.  But as well as unfurl, I thought I would share a few of the flag photos I’ve taken over the years.  All are just random shot, but here’s a little background of some.

The first photograph was taken in the early 1970’s.  I was at a Native American Powwow, the all over the grounds tipees were pitched.  As tradition would have it, at the tips of the lodge poles streamers and ribbons would be tied.  But there was one tipee with the tattered American Flag.  The second image was taken in an open part in memory of the 911 victims.  Image three was on top of the Empire State Building.  And the forth image is of flags flying over a tent selling fire works.  All the rest are just fun shots over the years.  Click on an image to enlarge the photo and view the slide show.
