Support Young Artists at ‘Not Your Average Art Show’

One of the most crucial aspects of building a sustained and flourishing local creative culture is developing, supporting, and encouraging young artists. Not Your Average Art Show aims to do just that Saturday, Oct. 14, at Studio@620’s downtown gallery space from 6-8 p.m.

The show was originally scheduled for Sept. 9, but Hurricane Irma had other plans. The weather has rarely stopped tenacious Floridians, and this show’s opening is no exception.

Come out for the opening exhibit of seven amazing local artists, all 13 and under, who will be displaying their photographic and 3D art pieces.

Featured Artists:

  • Angelina Caradonna
  • Logan Klarides
  • Molly Slomic
  • Kale Abbe
  • Olivia Wessel
  • Lyla Aitken
  • Lucci Greco

These artists may be young, but they have been honing their craft and are ready to put on an exhibit worthy of the community’s attention. Each child exhibit and sell a 3D print they made under the guidance of Mo Delaney Eppley and Courtney Walker of St. Pete Makers and several photographic art pieces they created under the guidance of Little Light of Mine photographers Sheri Kendrick and Anna Caradonna. They also composed a written piece under the guidance of Maureen McDole of Keep St. Pete Lit. All of their projects were completed during our first ever Not Your Average Summer Camp, which is open to aspiring artists ages nine to 12.

Some of the featured items that will be for sale include single greeting cards, greeting card packs, single prints, print packs, coffee table books and more. Prices start at $3.99 plus tax. Each sale will generate a commission for the artist as well as a donation to Little Light of Mine, so come prepared to support these young artists.
