Mentorship and Accountability

 

I think that having a mentor through out this grant period has been very helpful and is something I would want to continue even after the grant period comes to an end. It is nice to have someone to talk to about ideas and hold you accountable to reach success.  My mentor, Steven Kenny ( https://www.stevenkenny.com/ ), and myself had meetings anywhere from his studio, to a trip to the Salvador Dali Museum where he is a docent. We also went to the Museum of Fine Arts, Creative Morning Talks at Station House and had coffee shop meetings where we went over self promotion as an artist and turning your buyers into collectors as well as many other topics on making sales, bookkeeping and what I want to achieve as an artist.
