Gratitude

Having gratitude everyday is so important to me. I have so much gratitude for receiving this grant, and it could not have come at a better time. I don’t know what I would have done without a deadline during this pandemic. And certainly the money from the grant is helping me pull through. THANK YOU Creative Pinellas for making a difference in artists lives and creating a thriving art community for our County.
I have gratitude for my mentor, Rose Marie Prins, who offered lots of helpful tips and wisdom from her years of experience as an artist. She is a wonderful person and artist, and I am beyond grateful to work with her and have her now as a colleague and friend.
I have gratitude for having enough paint to be able to finish my paintings. I ran out of white as soon as I put that last mark on my painting.
I have so much gratitude for my partner, Megan Dorien, who continues to be the most loving and supportive through all of this.
I am also very thankful for my health and well being. Like many, this has not been easy to go through, but I don’t know what I would do without my painting keeping my mental health in check. Now I have time to start several commission projects which were put on hold to finish my work for this exhibition and a painting for MIZE gallery.
There is so much more to be thankful for, and I think I still have one more blog post after this. So stay tuned for next week’s topic, “What next?”
