Christopher Hubbard Joins Creative Pinellas

On Sept. 6, Creative Pinellas, the Countyäó»s Local Arts Agency, announced that Christopher Hubbard has joined the organization as Programs Manager.

Hubbard, who has been active in the Clearwater arts and cultural community as Cultural Affairs Specialist for the City of Clearwater, as well as their Special Events Committee Chairman, brings extensive knowledge and experience to the position.ξ This includes holding a leadership role in the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals, where he served as president for close to three years.

Hubbard joined the organization on Sept. 4 and will join the Creative Pinellas team in their new offices in Largo, at the site of the former Gulf Coast Museum of Art.Œæ According to St. Clair, he will have oversight of all the programs and services that Creative Pinellas currently provides to artists and arts organizations as well as being responsible for new programs and initiatives that the Agency is planning for 2018 and beyond. These include the launch of a new Arts Business Incubator for nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, also located at the former museum, developing and managing Creative Pinellasäó» public art programs, enhancing marketing and promotions of Pinellas County as a cultural destination, and expanding existing educational and support programs for artists and arts and cultural organizations.
