Arts Annual 2022 – Performances in the Park

November 12, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Arts Annual 2022 wraps up a celebratory weekend with artists in Music, Theatre, Dance and Film for Performances in the Park. 

There will be special appearance by Tampa Bay Ray’s mascot and food available by Top Nosh Street Food. 

Free to the public.

In the Courtyard:

11:00 am: Scenes from the Nutcracker from the Academy of Ballet Arts – Suzanne Pomerantzeff, Director (A Childhood Classic!)

11:30 am: Musical highlights from Oh Gasparella! A new musical by Tom Sivak (She’s not your mother’s Disney princess!)

12:15 pm: Latin Dance Performance and Instruction with Javier T. Dones  (Learn some moves then stay to dance with band)

1:00 pm & 1:45 pm: (2 sets) O Som Do Jazz led by composer David Manson  (Florida Brazilian bossa nova, samba-jazz & MPB band ) David Manson with O Som Do Jazz premieres new jazz compositions Nova Música: New Works influenced by Brazilian samba, Bossa Nova & Baião.

2:45 pm Musical highlights from GASPAR! THE MUSICAL music by Constantine Grame and book and lyrics by Bill Leavengood  (a fast-paced, bawdy tale of “trading places” that finds the legendary pirate,  Jose Gaspar, magically transported through time to modern day Tampa Bay)

Diversity 2022 – A Portrait of the Local Community.
A 30-minute film by Don Gialanella and Ran Flugstad illustrating the diversity and beauty of the human community of Pinellas County.
