Erica Sutherlin

Erica Sutherlin is a powerhouse multi-hyphenate executive, filmmaker, and theatrical director who serves as the Artistic Executive Director of The Studio@620. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

A career spanning over 20 years, Erica has established herself as an award-winning visionary, making her network directorial debut with the Lifetime hit Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas. Her diverse portfolio includes the feature film Stratosphere, the short film ATONE, and writing credits for Voodoo Macbeth through Warner Brothers and USC.

On the stage, Erica’s directorial range is vast, encompassing acclaimed productions such as Ragtime: The Musical in the Park, The Color Purple, and Cadillac Crew. Her commitment to the arts extends into the spirits industry as the founder of Sinuous Bourbon, an award-winning brand designed to celebrate the historical momentum of women. She currently serves as the Committee Chair of the City of Saint Petersburg Arts Advisory Committee and the Public Arts Sub-committee member. A dedicated educator, Erica shares her expertise as a professor at the University of South Florida. Whether in the boardroom, the classroom, or the director’s chair, Erica continues to drive excellence and illuminate untold stories.
