Beth Gelman, Senior Director of Arts and Cultural Programing at Creative Pinellas interviews me at the gallery. We touch on the influence of the Gulf Coast and my art making process. I share about what the motif of the setting sun and cloud mean to me as I process through grief and find solace in the act of creating.

The artist talk and the IG live was an incredible opportunity for growth. The feedback and interaction I received from other artists, friends, and the staff from Creative Pinellas has propelled me forward as I gained more insight and confidence when sharing and talking about my work. There were many times through this grant period that I wanted to pull the covers over my head and not get out of bed. It felt safer to be home. Sharing my process on social media is still a bit of a struggle, however it is getting easier as I continue to show up. I am so grateful to Beth Gelman, my mentor, Brenda McMahon and the staff at Creative Pinellas.
