The end of Week two of the Governors School for the Arts. (GSFTA). What a week. I continue to challenge myself in ways to teach over the Zoom platform! Reed classes are becoming easier and more innovative along with the Career Development classes. As we enter into the third week of GSFTA, I find myself with a new project….how to do a virtual double reed choir performance.
Where do you begin? Do you record all the parts, or do you simply lay out a click track and then there are the questions of how to tune high school double reed players, where to place the microphone and how to make a quality recording via zoom.
