Early years.
During my college years, besides making art I also began a ten-year career in electronic dance music. I started out as DJ by the name of C4 and played in nightclubs and events around Tampa Bay. I hustled to get my name out there and sold mixed tapes. This evolved into creating my own music. I teamed up with a partner and Funk Lab records was born. We would go on to write and produce over 30 records. Together we traveled the country playing at night clubs and events as the duo the Funklab. During these years, I crafted my marketing and design skills to sell records, cd’s, t-shirts, make a website and promotional videos and even promoted some of our own events. These invaluable skills would transfer over to my art career when I chose to return to fine art in early 2000…more to come.
