Jackie Kaufman is a professional jeweler specializing in lost wax casting. She has been selling her jewelry worldwide and online since 2008. She considers herself an artist-entrepreneur, 50% art and 50% business.
Jackie was born in Swampscott, Massachusetts and moved to Florida to attend The University of Miami and start her business career. Her creative career started in the early 2000’s when she found her love of making and selling jewelry. Her pieces have been used on TV shows and been in numerous magazines and catalogs.
She moved to the St. Petersburg area in 2013 for the vibrant arts community.
In 2018 she started a local arts and crafts group called The Mad Crafters in MadeiraBeach with over 125 members. They met twice a month to learn a new craft skill and Jackie taught most of these classes for free. She has since transitioned into paid teaching workshops at various local art centers and museums and has found a new love of teaching and inspiring others to create.
She is a lifelong learner and each summer travels across the country to participate in week-long workshops at art schools like Arrowmont, Peters Valley and Anderson Ranch on full scholarships. These workshops comprise various areas of study. She brings what she has learned back to St. Petersburg to teach locally.
This is an exciting time in her life where all of her passions come together to create meaningful art and projects that are important to her.
