Florida CraftArt in downtown St Pete invites artists to submit original artwork for an exhibition that represents the theme: äóìDí_a de los Muertos, A Celebration of Life.äó
This is an national juried call-to-artists curated by St. Petersburg-based artist Mark Noll. The exhibition will beæApril 6 to May 26.
Dí_a de los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead, focuses on gatherings of family and friends to celebrate and remember those who have passed on. It is a joyous occasion – a time to gather with loved ones, both alive and dead.
The theme should be expressed through the artistäó»s vision in a variety of fine-craft media, including clay, wood, glass, fiber, metal and mixed media.
The exhibition will be judged by Dirk Armstrong, curator for the Salvador Dalí_ Museum. Cash prizes will be awarded.
