Ro Martinez is a self taught Hispanic artist, she works with acrylics in her favorite black and white palette mixing a rainbow of colors to create a blend of her two styles; Op-Art and Abstract design. The use of color is inspired by her Colombian heritage. In 1980 she painted two massive murals in NY then left to pursue acting and modeling. After a successful 30+ year career, she returned to her love of art in 2017. Ro has had 5 gallery solo shows with a recurring theme of love (hearts) and hope (butterflies), she is currently in 2 galleries. She has also styled and published over 100 articles in 5 publications on the subject of fashion, health and benefits of art on the mind and body.
