Ethan Harmon is a metal sculptor based out of Palm Harbor, Florida, who creates works that emphasize the visual aesthetics of the material and carry conceptual weight. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in sculpture from the University of North Florida, where he honed his skills casting iron, welding, mold-making, and carving. His most recent project, Two Sides of the Coin, focuses on the duality of mental health and emphasizing the disparities between its highs and lows. Two of Harmon’s large-scale, steel fabricated pieces have been shown in public sculpture parks in Jacksonville, Florida and Frankfurt, Kentucky. His cast iron work has been exhibited nationally at the National Conference for Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices, and internationally at the International Conference for Contemporary Cast Iron Art.
