Sunday was a beautiful day exploring St. Pete with my family. I took a lot of reference photos for painting and showed my studio to my mom who is visiting from Maine.
I love looking at the shapes and patterns on plants, and sunsets create a dynamic composition. Here are a couple examples of my reference photos and an example of how I look at positive and negative shapes.
Also, I hung up my hammock outside my studio!! The combination of painting a little and reflecting and writing in my sketchbook makes for a perfect studio session. I listened to Baralku Tour (live).
