Best Camp Ever!
- Young People Play, Grow, & Thrive through Art Camp Grants from Creative Pinellas
- Our youth–the future Artists of Pinellas County–deserve great experiences like attending Art Camp
- We help young people attend Art Camps at no or reduced cost
The application opens on March 3, 2025, and we accept applications on a rolling basis until we’ve designated all available funds. Funds go fast, so be sure to apply as soon as the application opens. After a Camper applies, it may take us up to a week or so to fully review the application.
Is this for the whole summer?
This opportunity provides youth a chance to attend an Art Camp that lasts about a week or two. It’s not for summer-long camps, and it’s not for overnight camps. Art Camps occur sometime between the end of May and early August.
Which campers may apply?
You may be eligible to apply if you’re between the ages of 5 & 17, live in Pinellas County, and can say “yes” to one of these:
- Receive a free or reduced-cost school lunch?
- Live in a foster or group home?
- In the custody of the Department of Children and Families?
- Receive financial hardship tuition or scholarship?
- Live in East Tarpon Springs, North Greenwood, Highpoint, Lealman Corridor, or South St. Petersburg?
- Attend a “transitional” or “transformational” school, according to the Pinellas County Board of Education?
- Go to a Title 1 school as listed at https://www.pcsb.org/Page/10735
Eligibility or application does not guarantee a grant spot. Restrictions, conditions, and fund availability apply. A 17-year-old camper is not eligible for an Art Camp Grant if they would turn 18 during their camp session.
How does it work?
- Beginning March 3, 2025, Campers (with the help of their parent or guardian) may apply by clicking the apply button below. Be sure to apply as soon as the application opens.
- We’ll review your application; it might take a week or so for us to let you know. If we approve your application, you become eligible for a spot with a camp.
- After we let you know that you’ve been selected for a grant, you also have to register and be accepted by the camp itself. If your choice of camp ends up being full, we may have to adjust your application to ensure access to another choice, but, unfortunately, adjustments are not guaranteed.
- You attend Art Camp!
- We send the Art Camp the amount of money you would have paid for camp registration.
Are fees for an Art Camp ever higher than the grant amount?
This is a two-part answer. (1) The amount of an Art Camp Grant always equals the registration fees for an Art Camp. How? The grant amount changes to match whatever registration fees are for a camp session. (2) But please also know that Art Camps might offer add-ons. For example, they may offer after-care for youth or lunch as options, and those additional fees are not covered by the Creative Pinellas individual Art Camp Grants.

Art Camps marked with an asterisk * have told us that they have a generally quiet and calm environment and intentionally and thoughtfully design their camp offerings to be truly inclusive of neurodiverse campers; and that their camp staff are properly trained for neurodiverse inclusion.
Art Camps marked with a number sign # have told us that they have a generally loud and busy environment and intentionally and thoughtfully design their camp offerings to be truly inclusive of neurodiverse campers; and that their camp staff are properly trained for neurodiverse inclusion.
All camps are welcoming of neurodiverse campers, but those without an asterisk or hashtag have not reported intentional design for neurodiverse inclusion to us.
