- If the Artist desires to submit additional text for consideration that would be integral to a mural design, they should note the purpose and plan clearly in their submitted mural concept.
- Artwork that is deemed to be offensive, commercial, religious, political, or distracting in design or nature will be excluded from consideration.
- Artwork should not serve as an obvious or implied advertisement for any business.
IDEA / VISION & SKETCH
- Make sure your concept is clear and related to Lealman.
- Ensure a sketch that provides conceptual information, including images and/or texts that would support the panel to best consider your proposal.
- Because we are not able to pay Artists for the work they undertake to apply for this opportunity, we encourage Artists to be specific & precise in their submission but not to place an undue burden on their creative time & energy.

PORTFOLIO
- Artwork file samples of past work supports the panel to learn the Artist’s and gain confidence in the Artist’s ability to install a mural in Lealman.
- Therefore, include 3 portfolio samples in the style you are suggesting for the mural concept.
- If your samples are not in the style you are submitting, include additional explanation in your application about your experience or confidence in the suggested style.
- Please note that low-resolution images, general pictures of framed work, and images that include the Artist alongside the artwork are not typically helpful to the panel.
