Mural Celebration
Saturday, September 28
9:30-11:30 am
Pinellas Trail
Join Creative Pinellas and Pinellas County Public Works to celebrate the newly completed mural at the Boot Ranch underpass in Palm Harbor, along the planned Pinellas Trail extension.
The mural, titled Be Right Back by Stephen Palladino, features a parade of vibrant, playful characters coming and going in different ways. A manatee on a skateboard rides alongside a frog on bike, and a shark on a Segway rides next to people running.
The celebration takes at the mural site, at the underpass at Tampa and McMullen Booth roads in Palm Harbor – with fun arts-related activities, a performance by the East Lake High School vocal ensemble and a spoken word performance. Stephen Palladino will talk about his process and answer questions.

Curator Talk
September 28 at 3 pm
Beautiful & Bizarre: Figurative Ceramics Invitational is a curated show at Florida CraftArt featuring ceramic artists who explore human and animal figures, along with fantastic beings that bridge the gap between the real and surreal.
In the exhibition visitors will see 45 powerful sculptures by 24 artists from across America and one from Thailand.
Sarasota-based artist Taylor Robenalt, who is also an instructor at the Ringling College of Art, curated the exhibition. She explains, “In this time of difference and separation, top ceramic artists in this national exhibition created powerful sculptures that capture ideas, feelings, and emotions covering topics from mythology to political to playful.
“Artists come from diverse backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, races, and genders highlighting our contemporary world.”
