How Far Have We Really Come?
I don’t remember much about that day back in 1971. I just remember I was walking around the downtown/waterfront area of Pensacola when I came upon this partially demolished building. There was nothing else around it, just the foundation and this one existing wall. What struck me was that if they had all the equipment on site to demo the building, why did they leave this wall. And then I remembered this is the south, in 1971.
Flash forward 47 years and I wonder with all the conflicts, alien hate, shootings, marches in Virginia; how far have we really come?
