During my journey as a full time artist I discovered rather quickly that I am not always going to be inspired to create something all the time. There aren’t always memories that initiate drawings and sometimes even music isn’t enough to get me going. This is when self motivation becomes an important part of our lives. Pushing past my feelings and honing in on the fact that I now have an opportunity to create and influence my community with my artwork.
Like many of us we have had days where we need to encourage ourselves to press forward. By writing, painting, singing or even dancing allowing many ways for self expression to surface. Pushing past the limits of expression is the root and love we have for our ability to create. In finding self motivation, the ability to express and create found me. Inspiration is not always tangible but it is always in us.
