Day Dream Believer
People often ask me when I first became an artist. Looking back, I am now able to recognize the precise moment it happened to me. It wasn’t my first drawing or my first art prize or my first sold painting because being an artist is not about making or winning or selling. It was the day I laid in the backyard grass and looked into the sky imagining a world that was not before my eyes. My philosophy is that true art, whether it’s literature, music, or painting, is the love child of pain and dreams combined with endless hours of hard work. I believe visual art is not just about creating an object but should ultimately also be about creating an idea.
