This annual competition, sponsored by the Congressional Institute, highlights and celebrates the artistic talent of high school students across the nation and within each congressional district. Since its inception in 1982, the competition has engaged over 650,000 students nationwide.
Students submit their artwork to their congressional representative’s office, where panels of local artists select the winning entries. Winners are honored in their districts and at a prestigious awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., with their artwork displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol.
The 13th Congressional District High School Artistic Discovery Competition is presented in partnership with the Office of U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna.
The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10am-5pm. FREE and open to the public.
There will be an Award Ceremony for the artists and their families on April 22 from 6-7:30 pm. Join us to celebrate the creativity and talent of the next generation of artists!
