Ree Shapiro

Ree Shapiro has published the short story, “Changing Directions.” and the poem “Hear Me” in the magazine “The Scribe.” She has a master’s in writing from Tiffin University and teaches college freshman composition at St. Petersburg College and Wake Technical Community College. Ree has participated in the Iowa Summer Writers Workshop, Acorn Writing Retreats, as well as the IRB Beach Art Center’s annual Poetry in Motion Gallery Show. She belongs to a writing group held at Gulf Beaches library and an online poetry group called “Pause for Poetry”. She has also completed a young adult as well as an adult novel. While not writing, Ree enjoys book clubs, traveling, hanging out with her husband and kids and cuddling with her silky terrier, Quinn.
