A lifelong artist, Kim Michelle grew up on Cape Cod, MA where the artistic community and a creative family supported her passion for art from the beginning. Kim Michelle received a BFA with Distinction from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2005. Since then she has continued to create and exhibit her work internationally, and has been featured in New American Paintings and shown at significant venues worldwide. In 2021 KM studied classical oil painting with Elli and Dimitra Milan and completed the Mastery Program bringing her art to new heights. She is also a devoted yoga practitioner, which influences her work deeply.
Kim Michelle’s work is full of color and movement, pattern and power. Her work inspires the viewer to become free of limiting beliefs, holding patterns and outdated structures. She obliterates the boundaries and layers pattern over pattern into abstraction. This reflects her nature to explore and discover what gems are to be found in the created space.
Her current work is influenced by her love of nature, yoga, spirituality, and motherhood. Kim Michelle continues to draw inspiration from her 8 years living in the jungle of Costa Rica as well as a 6-month journey through India and Nepal studying yoga and art.
