Celebrate at Pinewood (Florida Botanical Gardens, Creative Pinellas, Heritage Village) every 3rd Saturday! Free event, free parking!

At Creative Pinellas (10 am – 5 pm):

Celebrate the upcoming opening of the Flora & Fauna exhibition by making your own nature-inspired artwork. Participants will be designing and creating their own 3D sculpture garden using recycled materials and learning how to change the texture and shape of paper through rolling, curling, folding, and fringing.

At the Florida Botanical Gardens (7 am – 5 pm):

Join us for a “Fairy Tails” day in the Majeed Discovery Garden from 10 am-1 pm. This event celebrates the relationship between animals and stories. There will be special activities led by our Children’s Garden Educator and our partners: FNGLA, Florida Farm Bureau, and Pinellas County 4-H. At Heritage Village (10 am – 4 pm):

May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, and at Heritage Village we are joining the conversation by hosting a special event that celebrates the joy our furry friends bring us and the importance of emotional well-being. Calling all families and their furry friends! Heritage Village warmly welcomes you and your beloved pups to a special event celebrating the bond between humans and their four-legged companions. Join us for a delightful reading and book walk featuring ‘Gizmo’s Pawsome Guide to Mental Health,’ an adorable tale starring Gizmo, the therapy dog, as he teaches us how to care for our emotions and well-being.

A public book reading will begin at 11 am at the Band Stand. The enchanting book walk adventure will be available as a self-guided activity from 10 am to 3 pm. Explore the charming pathways of the park, where pages from Gizmo’s insightful journey are scattered, inviting you to immerse yourself in the story and have meaningful discussions about taking care of your mental health.
