Explore FREE all-ages creative activities on the themes of Make and Play, led by local artists, musicians, crafters, and educators.
No sign-up required. Come as you are for this fun, outdoor experience!
The Make/Play SPACE presents participant-driven programs such as art workshops and crafting, musical performance and drum circles, educational toys and games, an interactive chalkboard mural, and more. You’ll also find activities to explore outside the SPACEs during all daylight hours! Make/Play features colorful magnetic shapes and a playable Duplo block wall.
Read/Grow
Explore FREE all-ages creative activities on the themes of Read and Grow led by local artists, writers, gardeners, and educators.
No sign-up required. Come as you are for this fun, outdoor experience!
The Read/Grow SPACE presents participant-driven programming such as a free book exchange, writing projects, paper making, seed planting, book making, and more. You’ll also find activities to explore outside the SPACEs during all daylight hours! Read/Grow features giant magnetic poetry, and a public plant share wall.

SPACEcraft brings creativity into an active environment, sharing hands-on art experiences inside of two converted shipping containers. Both instructor-led and self-guided programs on the themes of Make, Play, Read, and Grow will invite people to interact and create together at each site SPACEcraft visits.
This one-of-a-kind project is produced with the support of Creative Pinellas and is funded by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, and is scheduled to travel throughout the county with new stops every eight weeks. This public art project is an original work conceived and produced by Carrie Boucher, Bridget Elmer, and Mitzi Gordon.
