Paradise Found, Creative Pinellas’ new exhibition at Sightline Gallery at the St. Pete-Clearwater Airport, showcases Duncan McClellan’s blown glass sculptures inspired by the nature grown at his lush gardens, and fine art painter Carrie Jadus’ Florida Girl Series of surrealist faces composed of native flora and fauna. Convene with these works and find a slice of paradise.
Duncan McClellan uses multiple techniques to create his blown glass sculptures including overlay, acid etching, fire polishing, sand carving, and a six-stage grinding and polishing method. He works out of his 13,000 sq. ft. gallery, hot shop and sculpture garden in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District.
Carrie Jadus pivoted from a career in electrical engineering to fine art painting. Now a firmly-established artist, she paints on a range of scales from diminutive to monumental. She owns Soft Water Gallery in St. Pete’s Warehouse Arts District.
