Beach Art Center

Description

Located in the heart of beautiful Indian Rocks Beach, the Beach Art Center has been “bringing people together with art since 1978” with a goal of creating a safe, communal space for all kinds of artists, art enthusiasts, and the community. Their mission is to inspire lifelong learning, empower the individual, and engage the community of all ages in the creative arts.

They offer weekly art classes in a variety of mediums including watercolor, acrylic, oil, mixed media, pastel, drawing, and pottery. Limited Series classes have included ukulele, creative writing, photography, and learning Italian! They host weekend workshops which feature award-winning instructors for students interested taking their art to the next level or learning something new. Their popular “Art on the Rocks” classes provide fun and relaxing step-by-step instruction where students create something in one evening, and all supplies are included.

The Beach Art Center is proud of their “Creative Kids Camp” program which runs for 8 weeks during the summer and provides children the opportunity to tap into their creative side.

Their Gallery Exhibitions feature the work of local artists and Members. Membership to the Center is not required to participate in programs, but it does come with perks such as discounts on classes and gallery show submissions. Artists have the opportunity to sell artwork in their Gift Shop too.

The Center provides rental space for various community groups. Open Studio is also offered to artists looking for a nice space to work and other artists to connect with.
