Merritt Horan

Locally Born, Merritt is a Largo High & UCF graduate. Having lived over a decade in NYC working in fashion- she’s more recently sprung onto the St. Pete art scene having completed over 15 murals & countless paintings in showings around Tampa Bay. Her Fruity Soiree solo show proved a crowd pleaser & she’s found her style with the realistic “juicy” hand portraits done from still-life moments she arranges in her St. Pete Beach apartment. Having her family massively affected by the recent storms, she’s been afloat with the love & support of this community. Her heart lies in sharing stories through artwork & each painting has both visible & hidden meanings behind them, so she encourages you to ask her about them if you meet her at a show. She paints for her young son & husband, but also to explore her own journey through this mad, mad world.
