Janet Keeler was the Tampa Bay Times food and travel editor for fifteen years where her work garnered multiple awards from the Association of Food Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors.
She is also the author of Cookielicious, a cookbook collecting her favorite cookie recipes, and her essay “The Crock-Pot that Saved Dinner” has been collected in Da Capo Press’ Best Food Writing series.
In 2015, Keeler left the Times to join the faculty of USF-St. Petersburg, where she now coordinates the Food Writing and Photography certificate program. She now also contributes to the community by teaching writing classes with Keep St. Pete Lit.
