Jeweler and metalworker Haley Sloane Adams aims to create what she calls a “goddess feel,” an embodiment of women’s strength in metal. She spends most of her days in her home studio in Clearwater, turning that ideal into necklaces, masks and accessories that meld the classical and the primitive.
Adams studied art at Frostburg State University in Maryland, before moving first to Asheville, North Carolina. Then, she says the lure of St. Petersburg’s arts scene proved irresistible, and opportunities have opened up quickly.
She now sells her work at craft festivals and markets throughout central Florida and along the east coast. She’s a regular at Clearwater’s Pier 60, and her work can also be found in local shops including ARTicles and ZaZoo’ed.
