DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the Artistic Discovery 2024: 13th Congressional District of Florida Exhibition this Spring.\nThe Artistic Discovery 2024 – 13th Congressional District of Florida Exhibition will be held this year at the Gallery at Creative Pinellas featuring works of art by Pinellas County High School Students. Each spring\, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the Artistic Discovery competition began in 1982\, more than 650\,000 high school students have participated. \nStudents submit entries to their representative’s office\, and panels of district artists select the winning entries. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington\, DC. The winning works are displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol. \nThe 13th Congressional District High School Artistic Discovery Competition is presented in partnership with the Office of U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna. \nThe gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10am-5pm.\nFREE and open to the public. \nEvents Surrounding Exhibition\nThere will be an Award Ceremony for the artists and their families on April 20 from 3-5pm.

SUMMARY:ARTS ANNUAL FOCUS: Literary and Performing Arts
DESCRIPTION:Art extends far beyond the confines of visual arts\, encompassing a diverse array of talents and mediums. Musicians connect with their audience through melody and lyrics; writers create literary worlds that explore the complexities of the human condition; performers\, directors\, and filmmakers push the boundaries of physical and visual expression to convey profound narratives. This exhibition will showcase the work of Actors\, Authors\, Composers\, Dancers\, Directors\, Filmmakers\, Musicians\, and Interdisciplinary Artists in a setting where they are not normally found: an art gallery. We invite you to be part of our experiment to appreciate the varied forms of creativity that enrich our understanding of the world. \nFeaturing the work of Creative Pinellas grantees and mentors who participated in Arts Annual 2023: Tatiana Baccari\, Sheila Cowley\, the Dunedin Music Society\, Sara Ries Dziekonski\, Sarah Emery\, Roxanne M.
